Director of CIBAP claims award for the acquisition of scientific equipment

On June 4, Dr. Georgina Renard, director of CIBAP, claimed the DICYT award for the Acquisition or Updating of Scientific Equipment 2024 from the Vice-Rectorate of Research, Innovation, and Creation (VRIIC), USACH. The funds will be used to acquire a fluorescence and bioluminescence tomograph, which will allow the study of biological structures and processes in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro, as well as biotechnological and pharmacological applications.

Dr. Renard received support from various academics from USACH, including Drs. Elías Leiva, Estíbaliz Ampuero, Fernando Ortiz, and Luis Constandil from the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology; Drs. Aline Xavier and Patricia Díaz from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), respectively; Dr. Andrea Mahn, Vice-Dean of Research, Development, and Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Engineering; and the team of academics from CIBAP.
