Líneas de Investigación: 
El objetivo principal de mi investigación es entender los mecanismos involucrados en la interacción entre patógenos bacterianos y el hospedero humano tanto a nivel celular como molecular. Para lograr responder a estas interrogantes, en la actualidad estoy utilizando como modelo al microorganismo Campylobacter spp, patógeno intracelular facultativo de transmisión alimentaria conocido por ser una de las causas más frecuentes de cuadros gastrointestinales de origen bacteriano a nivel mundial. Adicionalmente, estamos desarrollando estudios de epidemiología genómica para dilucidar la frecuencia y distribución de los distintos linajes genéticos de Campylobacter spp presentes en nuestro país.
